Editorial Reviews

he Knobble II is the newly designed cousin of the all-wood classic favorite of therapists and self care enthusiasts. Still about the size of a standard doorknob, it is made of durable polymer. The base is held in the palm of the hand, and the smoothly rounded tip is used to apply pressure to trigger points in soft tissue. The Knobble II has the added benefit of a soft band of non-latex, Santoprene around the base that allows for friction techniques. Bodyworkers often use the Knobble II to save wear and tear on their hands when applying deep, prolonged pressure to knots or strands of contracted muscle. But the Knobble II is not meant to replace your healing hands, only to help them do more and last longer. Remember to position yourself in such a way that you use your weight, not just your strength, to apply pressure to the muscle. Avoid direct pressure against the spine and other bones.

Works but causes bruising!

Reviewed by Reader2008, 2010-02-22

I don't have sensitive body skin at all, but since using this thing on my "trigger points" I have been bruised and sore. To keep bruising at bay, I have to use the circular part with the rubber on it. The main problem with this thing is that it is too hard for you to apply the pressure needed to get rid of a trigger point.

Very Useful

This little device probably saved me a bundle in occupational therapy and pain meds after hand surgery. My arm and shoulder were in painful knots, which I took care of on my own. It has also been very helpful for sciatica.

Makes it very easy to massage someone's upper back, lower back, legs and feels great if you put it on the floor and step down on it to massage the arch of your foot.

Awesome!

This totally saves the hands and my family (especially my wife as she doesn't have to use her hands) loves it! It allows her to put enough pressure on my trigger points. Great value.

Small and effective

When I first opened the box with the Knobble in it, I was surprised by how small it was and couldn't imagine it would actually help. I was wrong. This small item fits nicely in my palm. The large hand held base with a small tip allows you to apply a large amount of pressure on a small spot without much effort. The first time I tried it, I actually hurt my shoulder. The Knobble truly requires very little pressure to work and is great for relieving minor aches.
