Healing power...Massage is an ancient form of healing, recognized and used for thousands of years to offer relief from pain, to restore good spirits, provide comfort, boost energy, and to rejuvenate muscles. You will be learning this ancient form of healing art with our Basic Massage Therapy DVD.
Who doesn't love a good backrub?
We all know that backrubs feel great, but do you know why? Sure, they relax your muscles, but they do more than that. They bring us into physical contact with another human being, and that itself, is a powerful experience. Add to that experience the trained, therapeutic touch of a massage therapist, and you have a potent tool for improving your physical, mental, and spiritual health.
This video gives you the instruction you need to be that massage therapist and gives you all the tools you need to learn the healing touch of massage. This is great whether you intend to massage for fun or even if you want to pursue this as a career.
Well BalancedReviewed by S. Grow, 2009-12-21
I appreciated that the video was balanced in the left/right massage techniques. Typically a video will show one side and then tell you to repeat for the other. This one is instructive and balanced so that if practice is being attempted at the same time with the video it is possible to follow without grabbing the remote. Thank you!
OK - for basic massage techniquesReviewed by D. Weisberger, 2009-11-20
This is a basic swedish massage video - if you want to learn some of the basic strokes it is a good source.
Basic Massage Techniques/TherapyReviewed by L. Anderson, 2009-08-29
The product arrived later than I like, but in reasonable time. It was also in excellent shape, and its contents was extremely informative. After watching it just once I was able to conduct a full body massage with confidence and record time.
Not great, but it worksReviewed by turtlemonvh, 2009-06-11
The video gives a good overview of some techniques, but it is simply one continuous video. There is no title screen. There are no chapters. You simply have to fast-forward or rewind to get to where you want. The techniques are performed with little explanation, but if you watch it a few times, you can pick up most of them. Overall, not too bad, not too great.
Don't waste your timeReviewed by J. Somers, 2009-05-20
Video was very boring and not very informative. Clinical terminology was used which is not helpful to non-medical persons. Basically showed a 30 minute massage, step by boring step. Unattractive person narrating...Ugh!
